Just moments after Adrien Brody, star of The Brutalist, was awarded Best Actor at the Oscars on Sunday, March 2, Timothée Chalamet — who was also nominated for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown — found solace in the company of his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, and his mother, Nicole Flender.

E! News captured the heartwarming moment, where Jenner leaned in to kiss Chalamet, 29, as he applauded Brody.

Sitting beside her son, Flender then gave him a tender kiss on the cheek. Brody, 51, later embraced Chalamet in a gesture of support following his victory.

It was a family-filled evening for Chalamet, who attended the ceremony with his mother, girlfriend, and sister, Pauline Chalamet, who was photographed on the red carpet prior to the event.

While Jenner, 27, did not appear on the carpet, she was spotted inside the Dolby Theatre with Chalamet and later joined him at the Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty.

Throughout the awards season, Chalamet has earned multiple nominations, recently securing the 2025 SAG Award over Brody for his portrayal of Dylan, 83.

In his acceptance speech, Chalamet expressed surprise, saying, «I was not expecting this.

I’ll start by thanking my mother, who I’ve come with tonight. She’s been with Actors Equity for 40 years, working at the stage union.»

Chalamet reflected on the five years he spent preparing for the role of Dylan, sharing, «I poured everything into playing this incomparable artist, Bob Dylan, a true American hero.

It was the honor of a lifetime.»

He concluded with a tribute to other great performers: «I’m in pursuit of greatness. I know people don’t often say that, but I want to be one of the greats.

I draw inspiration from the greats, including those here tonight. I’m just as inspired by Daniel Day-Lewis, Marlon Brando, and Viola Davis as I am by Michael Jordan and Michael Phelps.

I want to be up there, and I’m deeply grateful for that.»

Chalamet acknowledged that this award wasn’t the end goal but rather, «a little more fuel» for his journey. «It’s a little more ammo to keep going.»
