Demi Moore shares that Bruce Willis’ condition is still «stable,» reflecting on the «great loss» and the «beauty» of being there for him

«We will always be family, just in a different way,» said the Substance actress during a CNN interview on Thursday, Dec. 5

Demi Moore provided an update on Bruce Willis’ health. Speaking with Christiane Amanpour, Moore discussed her ex-husband’s condition, which includes a diagnosis of aphasia that has progressed to frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

«Given the circumstances, he’s in a very stable condition right now,» Moore, 62, shared. «I’ve mentioned this before, but I want to say it again with full sincerity: It’s crucial for anyone facing this situation to meet their loved ones exactly where they are.»

«And from that place, there is so much love and joy,» she continued.

Moore, married to Willis from 1987 to 2000, told Amanpour that the situation is «very difficult» and «not something I would wish on anyone,» describing a sense of «great loss.»

«But there is also beauty and gifts that can come from it,» added the Now and Then actress.

Willis and Moore have three daughters—Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30—while Willis has two younger daughters, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, with wife Emma Heming Willis.

Moore emphasized the importance of their supportive dynamic, saying, «Even when Bruce and I separated, we recognized we’re a family, just in a different form.»

«And that form may evolve, but we can all be part of it,» she added. «I’m grateful for that, because it takes everyone coming together. It’s lovely.»
