Drew Barrymore looks back on how *Bad Girls* changed her life at 16, saying, «I can trace it back to that experience.»

Drew Barrymore recently reminisced about her pivotal role in *Bad Girls* during a conversation with costar Andie MacDowell on *The Drew Barrymore Show*.

Reflecting on her 16-year-old self, she humorously admitted, «When we did *Bad Girls*, I was such a dumbass.» MacDowell, 66, responded with admiration, saying, «Oh my God, you were so beautiful and so good.»

Barrymore, now 49, shared how that film shaped her life, saying, «I always talk about how much it changed my life. If I hadn’t done that film, there’s no way I’d be sitting here right now.»

Released in 1994, *Bad Girls* is a western directed by Jonathan Kaplan, featuring a cast of four women, including Barrymore, who play prostitutes seeking a better life while being pursued by detectives.

Barrymore emphasized how the film set provided her with a unique educational experience. “It was that film that showed me if you care about something, be involved,” she explained.

“I had not been on a film like that, which was really my school.”

Barrymore credited the experience with shaping her future, adding, “I feel like my whole life changed the most dramatically — I can trace it back to that experience with you.”

The actress described the film’s set as “little traveling circuses,” to which MacDowell agreed. Laughing, MacDowell joked, “My family used to tease me and tell me that I was gonna join the circus, and I did. I joined the circus.”

This wasn’t the first time Barrymore reunited with her *Bad Girls* castmates on her talk show.

Last year, she welcomed MacDowell and Mary Stuart Masterson for a reunion, where they were joined by Dermot Mulroney, who shared an emotional moment with Barrymore.

Mulroney, visibly moved, told her, «I’m so happy to see you, I might cry.» The two embraced, with Mulroney calling Barrymore an “incredible survivor.” Barrymore, touched by the gesture, added, «It is so nice to see a man cry, by the way.»
