Exclusive. Reuniting with her old co-stars, Demi Moore pitches a Now and Then sequel
At ELLE’s 2024 Women in Hollywood event on Wednesday, Demi Moore held a Now and Then reunion by introducing herself onstage with her old co-stars Rita Wilson, Rosie O’Donnell, and Melanie Griffith.

29 years have passed since the women were on screen together in Lesli Linka Glatter’s feminist coming-of-age film, which was written by I. Marlene King, the author of Pretty Little Liars and was set in 1970 and 1995.
Cloris Leachman, Devon Sawa, Janeane Garofalo, Hank Azaria, Bonnie Hunt, Brendan Fraser, and Rumer Willis, Demi’s daughter, were also in the $37.5 million film.

Onstage at the Four Seasons Hotel, the 62-year-old Brat Packer declared, «Now and Then was more than just a film to me, it was an adventure.»
It was a charming tale of friendship, fortitude, and enduring life’s ups and downs with one another. And here we are, still standing next to one other, f***ing thirty years later.
Thank you, and I adore you all.

‘Look, we’ve revealed so much of our past, and there’s still more to come,’ Demi repeated. Given that, someone must be asking themselves, «Shouldn’t we do a sequel or remake of Now and Then, like Now and Again?» After, talk to me.
Moore (born Guynes) costarred alongside 12-year-old Gaby Hoffmann as Samantha Albertson, a sci-fi novelist.

Later, the 68-year-old Tom Hanks wife posted a slideshow to Instagram that documented the «unforgettable time» the actors spent together.
«What a unique opportunity to honor the outstanding achievements of women in Hollywood while reflecting on a story that was primarily written by women!» Rita sent a letter to her 1.1 million fans.

«I hope that Teeny, Chrissy, Samantha, and Roberta will remain friends and support one another through all of life’s ups and downs.»
