EXCLUSIVE: Shocking revelations could jeopardize Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s American dream, with royal experts warning that allegations of bullying, staff therapy, and the Duke’s loneliness will severely harm their U.S. reputation
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s carefully cultivated image as the ideal Californian couple may be at risk following explosive allegations about the Duchess of Sussex’s alleged bullying of staff and the couple’s struggles adapting to life in the United States.
A revealing Vanity Fair article has ignited a wave of negative reactions, with royal experts warning that these revelations could seriously damage the Sussexes’ reputation in America, especially as they prepare for major projects, including Meghan’s upcoming Netflix series, *With Love, Meghan*.
The article highlights claims from former employees of Meghan who reportedly felt mistreated during their time working with her.
These allegations, which echo prior accusations from her time at Kensington Palace, paint a troubling picture of Meghan’s behavior, leading to accusations of bullying and staff members needing therapy.
Tom Bower, royal author and investigative journalist, called the revelations «devastating» for Meghan, especially as she has been working to reshape her public image as a loving, warm mother and wife.
He notes that the revival of her «Difficult Duchess» persona—portrayed as tormenting staff to the point of requiring therapy—has undermined her efforts to rebrand herself.
«Having denied accusations of bullying in Kensington Palace, the resurfacing of these claims is disastrous for Meghan, especially as her Netflix series approaches,» said Bower.
«Her attempts to project a caring, Californian image have been tainted by these disclosures.»
The situation is further complicated by the breach of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) by Meghan’s former staff, which Bower views as a clear sign of their deep anger.
Prince Harry is facing increasing scrutiny, with experts noting his portrayal as «lost, out of his depth, and naive.» Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams warned that their attempts to project a philanthropic image may be overshadowed by ongoing allegations.
«Their efforts to appear caring, such as helping wildfire victims, may lose credibility after these revelations,» Fitzwilliams stated.
He also noted that the trailer for Meghan’s upcoming cooking series may not be well-received, and Netflix could reconsider its release.
Brand expert Nick Ede highlighted that these allegations come at a bad time for the Sussexes, as they try to establish themselves in Hollywood.
«The media is turning against them, and their neighbors seem unimpressed,» he said, predicting that their dreams of becoming beloved public figures may be increasingly unlikely.
