Gracie Abrams shares what it was truly like backstage on the final night of the Eras Tour, saying, «Everyone had been crying all day»
“It felt like the last day of school,” Gracie Abrams reflected on the final Vancouver stop of Taylor Swift’s global Eras Tour

The 25-year-old artist, who opened for 49 shows, including the last one on Sunday, Dec. 8, described the final concert as deeply emotional.
«Everyone had been crying all day. It felt like the last day of school backstage,» Abrams said in an interview published on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
«Everyone was walking around with their [Eras Tour] books, signing each other’s books. We were all walking around with Sharpies.»

Gracie Abrams shared how touring with Taylor Swift brought them and the crew closer. Reflecting on the end of the tour, she expressed feeling emotional and grateful, noting the impact of not experiencing that «source of light» anymore.
Abrams also appreciated the chance to learn from Swift, saying, «I’ve been studying her show for a year and a half, learning from every moment, even our conversations about the weather.»
She also watched live streams of shows she wasn’t able to attend.

Gracie Abrams, daughter of director J.J. Abrams and executive Katie McGrath, saw her career soar after touring with Taylor Swift, from her debut album Good Riddance to the release of “That’s So True” in October.
She noted the surprising impact of one song on audience engagement, saying, “It’s crazy to see that week-by-week in a stadium.”
Abrams described the experience as wild, especially hearing fans sing along. At the end of the Eras Tour, Swift and Abrams performed a surprise mashup of Swift’s «Out of the Woods» and their collaboration «Us» in Toronto.

In September, Gracie Abrams shared with Who What Wear what it was like to debut «Us» with Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium in June.
She praised Swift’s ability to make the performance feel intimate, saying, «It felt like you and her were the only two people there.» Abrams will apply all she learned on Swift’s tour to her own North American tour, set for July 2025.
