Kate Middleton Shares Detail About George, Charlotte, and Louis’ Outgrown Clothes During Factory Visit
On January 30, Kate Middleton visited the Corgi factory in South Wales, known for its knitwear and handmade socks, where she shared that she has preserved her children’s clothes from Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The Princess of Wales, 43, mentioned that she has “archived” their outgrown garments, noting how well they’ve lasted.
“It’s wonderful to reuse well-made items,” Kate said, reflecting her commitment to sustainable fashion.
Her children have frequently worn hand-me-downs, including when Louis donned his father’s sailor suit for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 and Charlotte wore what appeared to be a pair of Prince Harry’s shoes during a 2017 royal tour.

Kate’s younger brother, James Middleton, has passed down these clothes to his own son, Inigo, 1.
In his 2024 memoir *Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life*, James revealed that the clothes, once too large for Inigo, now fill his son’s wardrobe.
He also shared that the hand-me-downs were a nostalgic experience for both Kate and Pippa Middleton.

The children’s clothes, which have become sentimental milestones for the Middleton family, are appreciated by British designer Rachel Riley.
Riley praised Kate and William for their preference for traditional, sustainable children’s clothing, noting how George, Charlotte, and Louis continue to wear them over time.

During her visit to Corgi, Kate tried her hand at sewing a sock on one of the machines, laughing at her efforts and admitting, “It’s so fiddly… definitely not my forte.”
She also expressed her admiration for the factory’s craftsmanship, saying, “It’s nice to see the younger ones coming in and learning this craftsmanship.”
