Kate Middleton’s carol concert confirmed to return on Christmas Eve as the Princess hosts first event since her cancer diagnosis

Following the Princess of Wales’ consecutive appearances during Remembrance weekend, the announcement was made.

The next public appearance of Kate Middleton is being planned.

Kensington Palace has confirmed that Queen will host her yearly carol service at Westminster Abbey in London on Friday, December 6, after making consecutive appearances at Remembrance celebrations on November 9 and 10.

Along with other members of the royal family, Prince William will be there; however, it will not be known until that day if the couple’s three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, will be present.

Princess Kate, 42, has hosted Together at Christmas for the fourth event, honoring the finest work being done in communities across the United Kingdom.

At the end of what William called a «brutal» year in Cape Town, South Africa, earlier this month, Kate will find the evening particularly emotional.

Kate revealed in March that she was receiving cancer treatment following significant abdominal surgery in January.

In a tearful video message on September 9, the princess said that although her chemotherapy was completed, she still had a long way to go and needed to take «each day as it comes.»

In her statement, she also stated that she was now concentrating on becoming «cancer-free.»

«This time has, above all, reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted,» Kate stated at the time.

«Of simply loving and being loved.» She’ll probably be thinking about it at the December 6 service.

One of her main goals for the year was to complete the carol service, and the confirmation—which comes so soon after she was able to join the family during the Remembrance weekend services—is another encouraging milestone.

The princess made two appearances in a row during Remembrance weekend, demonstrating how much she values those particular responsibilities that pay tribute to those who died fighting for Britain during the war.

Kate has been meeting with staff to discuss the organization for this year’s service while she continues to heal.

Princess Kate wanted to honor the numerous people helping those in need — people who have inspired, counseled, comforted, and «above all else, shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive,» according to her office at Kensington Palace. 1,600 people have been invited to this year’s service.

«This theme takes inspiration from the Christmas story which encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need of giving and receiving empathy.»

On December 24, the event will be taped, aired on ITV1, and streamed on ITVx in the UK. Singers Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean, and Gregory Porter will be among the well-known participants in the carol event, along with other members of the royal family.

In 2021, Kate held her first Christmas performance at Westminster Abbey to honor the efforts of people and groups around the United Kingdom who helped their communities during the coronavirus outbreak.
