Meghan Markle shares a makeup-free selfie video, sporting a sweet tribute to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet

Meghan Markle made her return to Instagram on January 1, marking her first selfie video on February 4.

In the clip, the Duchess of Sussex proudly paid tribute to her children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, by wearing a black crewneck sweater with their names in white cursive near the neckline.

Meghan went makeup-free for the video, adding gold bracelets and letting her brown hair fall loosely to the side.

In the video, Meghan shared her excitement over receiving Billie Eilish merchandise, including a signed album, which she planned to give to a 15-year-old whose home had been damaged in the January L.A. wildfires.

Meghan recalled meeting the teenager and her mother during a visit to the fire-ravaged community, where the mother shared that her daughter had lost her cherished Billie Eilish T-shirt while fleeing the flames.

Meghan’s return to Instagram follows the deletion of her personal accounts in January 2018.

She and Prince Harry later launched a joint account, @SussexRoyal, which ceased updates in 2020 after they stepped back from their senior royal duties.

Since then, Meghan has been selective with her social media presence, making only a few personal posts.

Regarding her children, a close friend of the couple mentioned that they are committed to protecting their kids’ privacy and keeping them out of the public eye.

«Harry is cautious about exposing them publicly to ensure their safety and avoid potential threats,» the friend explained, referring to the tragedy of Princess Diana’s death in 1997.

Meghan also established her Instagram account ahead of the release of her Netflix series *With Love, Meghan*, initially set for January 15 but delayed to March 4 in light of the wildfires, with support from Netflix.

She expressed gratitude for the delay, saying, «I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me as we focus on the needs of those affected by the fires in California.»
