Miley Cyrus gave Paul Rudd a shout-out and encouraged the crowd to sing along as she performed «Flowers» during the SNL 50th concert
Miley Cyrus is a seasoned performer when it comes to *SNL* audiences, and she once again commanded the stage at the *SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert*.
The three-time Grammy winner took the spotlight at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on February 14, kicking off the celebration with an energetic set.
She teamed up with Brittany Howard to perform Queen’s «Crazy Little Thing Called Love» and wowed the crowd with her chart-topping hit, «Flowers.»
As always, Cyrus kept the audience entertained with her witty remarks, even stopping mid-performance to shout out to actor Paul Rudd in the crowd.
«I love you Paul Rudd,» she exclaimed, as the camera captured his delighted reaction.
At one point, she playfully addressed the celebrity-packed audience, asking, «Are y’all doing that Grammys thing where you guys are famous and s— and you don’t sing along, excuse my language?»
Cyrus, 32, is no stranger to *SNL*, having made her hosting debut in 2011.
She returned to host and perform in 2013 and 2015, and has appeared as a musical guest multiple times, including in 2017, 2018 with Mark Ronson, 2020, and 2021.
In 2021, she also made a cameo during Billie Eilish’s hosting stint for a skit called «Christmas Cards.»
The *SNL 50* concert special, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, also featured performances from a star-studded lineup including Arcade Fire, the Backstreet Boys, Bad Bunny, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Chris Martin, David Byrne, and Dave Grohl.
The *SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert* also featured incredible performances from Eddie Vedder, Jack White, Jelly Roll, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, DEVO, Mumford & Sons, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The B-52s, and The Roots.
The event, broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall at 8 p.m. ET, is now available for streaming on Peacock.
