Nick Cannon admits, «I need help,» as he opens up about being diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (Exclusive)
Nick Cannon is being open about his mental health journey, embracing therapy and self-improvement. In an exclusive interview, the 44-year-old Masked Singer host shared that he had been diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder earlier this month.

«I don’t fully understand it yet, but I always wanted to be tested for it,» Cannon told People on November 27, while volunteering at the Los Angeles Mission’s Thanksgiving event. «I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, and as a kid, I struggled with dyslexia. I’ve always known I was a neurodivergent individual.»
Cannon has come to accept his recent diagnosis as part of his healing process, viewing it as an opportunity for growth.

«There are so many labels, but I’m embracing this one,» he says. «It’s about healing, asking for help, and being open about it. I want to be an example for others, but I’m also healing through this process.»
Cannon first revealed his diagnosis on the November 8 episode of his Counsel Culture podcast. Confirming to Dr. Cheyenne Bryant that he had been «clinically diagnosed» with narcissistic personality disorder, he explained that he relates to nearly all the disorder’s «markers.»
«I’ve taken all the power away from the term narcissism because I’ve researched and understood it,» Cannon said. «Call me whatever you want, but if I didn’t know what it was, I’d have an issue with it.»

Cannon, who has 12 children, shared how he spends the holidays juggling time with his kids. «It’s complicated. I’m busy on Thanksgiving,» he says, visiting multiple homes.
«By the end of the day, I’ll be full, but everyone specializes in something—like sweet potato pie or fried turkey.» In December, he’ll be «all over,» aiming to spend time with his kids in the snow, including trips to Aspen, Santa’s Village, and Big Bear.
«The kids want to go to the snow, so it’s a mix of East Coast, Aspen, and Big Bear,» he adds.
