On the last day of their trip to South Africa, Prince William and Heidi Klum enjoy a barbecue by the sea

Actor Billy Porter and model Winnie Harlow accompanied William and Klum to Kalk Bay Harbour, which is close to Cape Town.

On his last day in South Africa, Prince William is lounging by the water.

Additionally, he asked model and TV host Heidi Klum to spend a portion of the morning with him in order to educate her about sustainable fishing.

William was joined by model Winnie Harlow and actor Billy Porter at the event at Kalk Bay Harbor.

While enjoying a typical South African BBQ, or «braii,» the group talked about the 4th annual Earthshot Prize Awards, which were hosted on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

William had visited lifesavers from the National Sea Rescue Institute before arriving in Kalk Bay via lifeboat.

An enthusiastic local audience greeted him to the quayside, and he engaged in an impromptu walkabout, mingling and smiling with the several hundred residents gathered around the fishermen’s booths.

One of them, 47-year-old Kate Wardle, gave him some unique presents. The local woman selling beaded key rings here is the one I purchased.

She tells, «They had W and C on and three others for the kids.» «If you want to take them, here they are,» I said.

«Thank you,» he said. Additionally, «never return home empty-handed!»

«He was so natural and relaxed and down-to-earth,» she continues. He must be quite tired after this week, so I’m glad he came here.

To have him come to Kalk Bay to see us. It is really important to us here.

Chene Bobha, 21, was standing close by and told that William was «such a sweetheart.»

«I sent my best wishes to Kate, and he thanked me, saying, ‘That’s very kind,'» she continued.

Pressing as much royal flesh as he could was the goal of another young man. William chuckled, «I’ve shaken your hand before.» «I always remember a face.»

In order to showcase the efforts of Abalobi, which collaborates with local fishing communities to document their catch statistics and guarantee a just and enhanced living from sustainable fishing, William was in Kalk Bay Harbour.

The group, which was a contender for the 2023 Earthshot Prize, seeks to save small-scale fishing communities and foster their ocean stewardship while also informing its patrons about the sources and origins of their seafood.

William and the other members of the group were shown the technology used to log and track catches on Thursday, and they were also informed about sustainable fishing practices.

After that, they joined locals who work in and around the harbor, such as Abalobi supporter and chef Kobus Van Der Merwe, for a traditional fish braai.
