Pamela Anderson has inspired models and fans to submit hundreds of entries for a contest recreating her most iconic magazine covers
Pamela Anderson has inspired a global competition in honor of her 56th birthday.
As the Baywatch actress celebrated another year around the sun on July 1, Playboy announced they were holding a contest to see who could best recreate some of her most ‘iconic Playboy covers and pictorials.’

‘We want you to get your Pam on and shoot some fun throwback content,’ the publication told their more than 9.38 million Instagram followers.
‘(Fun fact: she’s been on more Playboy covers than anyone in the history of the brand — 14!)’
Additionally, the outlet encouraged fans to write in the captions of their posts about what the bombshell has done over her legendary career to ‘inspire’ them.

Almost immediately, hundreds of models, content creators and fans flocked to recreate some of the actress’ most famous spreads,
including one of her looking armed and dangerous as she held a pink gun and a matching, barely-there bikini top.
Other looks included her posing topless in just a cowboy hat, laying on red sheets in a sexy corset with a plunging neckline as well as another shot rocking a pair of tiny Daisy Dukes shorts.
The entries, which had to be submitted by July 11 for consideration, appear to be particularly competitive.

Earlier this year, Anderson revealed that the only man who ever treated her with respect was the late founder of Playboy magazine, Hugh Hefner.
Anderson holds the record for being on the most Playboy covers, but since Hefner’s death in 2017 at the age of 91, his legacy has been scarred by controversy and multiple allegations of abuse.
While speaking to The Times, Anderson recalled hating that being ‘painfully shy’ as a kid.

‘I just didn’t want that feeling any more,’ she recalled.
Describing the positive effects of her first pictorial, the model said: ‘Doing that first photoshoot gave me this little kind of portal on what it felt like to be a sensual woman. My sexuality was mine. I took my power back.’
Still, during her Netflix documentary, Pamela: A Love Story, Anderson confessed that she wasn’t thinking about having children when she posed for Playboy.
