Prince Harry addresses rumors about his divorce from Meghan Markle head-on

Prince Harry has addressed the growing rumors surrounding his marriage to Meghan Markle as speculation about their relationship reached a fever pitch in recent months.

The couple married in 2018 in a widely televised ceremony, but their relationship has always drawn significant public interest. Over the years, rumors have swirled about Prince Harry’s strained relationship with his family, especially after his decision to move to the US.

Their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey further fueled the speculation when Prince Harry claimed a racist comment had been made about his then-unborn child with Meghan.

Rumors of a split between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have gained attention, fueled by their recent separate public appearances.

Addressing the speculation head-on, Prince Harry dismissed the rumors during his appearance at The New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit.

New York Times columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin mentioned the public’s fascination with the couple’s whereabouts, noting Meghan’s attendance at the Paley Honors gala in Beverly Hills while Harry was at the event.

“There are articles everywhere questioning why we’re doing separate events instead of appearing together,” Sorkin remarked.

Prince Harry responded humorously, “Because you invited me, you should’ve known!” which elicited laughter from the audience.

Sorkin then asked whether the constant media attention ever had a positive impact. “No, that’s definitely not a good thing,” Harry replied.

The Prince went on to poke fun at the persistent rumors surrounding his life. “Apparently, we’ve bought or moved houses 10 or 12 times, and we’ve supposedly divorced the same number of times. It’s just ridiculous,” he said with a laugh.

Harry also expressed sympathy for those who follow his personal life, waiting for something negative to happen.

“They build up these hopes, thinking ‘Yes, yes, yes,’ and then it doesn’t happen. I genuinely feel sorry for them,” he added.
