The ‘dark’ new album by Lady Gaga continues to move forward in spite of the lackluster reaction of her first song, Disease
In February, Lady Gaga is scheduled to release her seventh studio album.
The 38-year-old is moving forward with her upcoming album, which she characterized as both «fun» and «darker,» even if her lead single, «Disease,» stalled on the Hot 100 at No. 27.

Gaga stated that she has been concentrating on the production aspect of her new songs in an interview with Vogue magazine.
Blending live instrumentation and programming was a key component of her seventh studio album. «I love producing — I always have,» she continued.
From a genre standpoint, the album is chaotic and genre-bending, which I believe offers a really intimate glimpse into my thoughts as a producer and my approach to music.

The ‘darker pop’ vibe of the record, she added, is more consistent with her legendary 2009 album, The Fame Monster.
Fans shouldn’t worry, though, that Gaga’s music is becoming too melancholy.
«The album is intended to be enjoyed at a party, club, or at home for personal enjoyment — to be free of your worries at home or walking through life,» she maintained, adding that it is not overly serious.

Music reviewers praised Gaga’s return to her origins when she unveiled the album’s debut track, Disease, last month.
Sadly, the praise did not convert to the charts, as Disease had her lowest lead single debut in 16 years at No. 27 on the Hot 100.

On the plus side, Gaga’s Bruno Mars duet, «Die With a Smile,» is presently one of her biggest successes in years.
Starring Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck (Joker) Lady Gaga as Lee Quinzel (Harley Quinn), the sequel to the Oscar-winning 2019 movie received bad reviews from critics prior to its October 4 release and did poorly at the box office.
