Travis Kelce calls it «a great honor» to have Trump at Super Bowl following the president’s past remarks about Taylor Swift
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce reacted with excitement when asked about former President Donald Trump’s attendance at Super Bowl LIX.

Speaking to the media on February 5, Kelce, 35, shared his thoughts on the news that Trump, 78, will be at the championship game in New Orleans—the first time a sitting president has attended the event.
“That’s awesome. It’s a great honor,” Kelce said. “No matter who the president is, I’m just pumped because it’s the biggest game of my life.
And having the president there — it’s the best country in the world — that’s pretty cool.”

Kelce’s comments come after Trump publicly criticized his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, for endorsing Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.
In a September 2023 interview, Trump, who had a history of disparaging the pop star, called her “a very liberal person” and said she would «probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.»
He also posted on Truth Social, saying, «I hate Taylor Swift.»

Meanwhile, Swift, 35, had publicly endorsed Harris after the September 10 debate, announcing her support on Instagram: “I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”
In addition to Trump, Kelce’s brother, Jason, confirmed that Swift will be attending the game to cheer on her boyfriend.
“Everybody’s coming in,” he said, “I think our whole family, obviously Trav and Taylor, and his family and friends. Trav always travels with a full crew.”
