Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater’s love story began on the set of the two-part *Wicked* film adaptation in London in late 2022, and their bond quickly grew strong.
The couple, both shining at the 2025 Critics’ Choice Awards on February 7, looked as inseparable as ever.
Grande, 31, attended the event, where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, accompanied by Slater, 32.
The pair shared intimate moments throughout the evening, cuddling for a photo at their table and staying close during a lively conversation.
Their relationship even became the target of a playful jab from host Chelsea Handler.
During her opening monologue, Handler humorously remarked on how many former child stars, including Grande, were advancing in their careers, adding, «And now, Ariana has even found love with a munchkin. That’s good news, everybody!»
Grande, who’s also nominated for an Academy Award, first met Slater during the filming of *Wicked* in late 2022.
Their relationship became public in July 2023, after both stars had separated from their previous partners. A source shared in December 2023, «[Ariana] loves being with [Ethan]. It’s a very normal relationship.»
In a rare mention of her boyfriend during a February 3 episode of *SmartLess* podcast, Grande joined in a conversation with host Sean Hayes, who warmly spoke about Slater as a close friend.
«Yes, he loves you so much,» Grande responded, before Hayes added, «Ethan Slater is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet in your life.
He did *Good Night, Oscar* with me in Chicago, then *Wicked*, and now you guys are dating. I love that because you make a perfect couple.»
