Beyoncé Takes Home Album of the Year at the 2025 Grammys for *Cowboy Carter*: ‘It’s Been Many, Many Years’

The «16 Carriages» singer, Beyoncé, was accompanied by her daughter, Blue Ivy, as she accepted the prestigious Album of the Year award at the 2025 Grammys.

The music legend, 43, secured the honor for her groundbreaking country album, *Cowboy Carter*, on Sunday, February 2.

In an emotional moment, Beyoncé shared the stage with Blue Ivy to celebrate the win.

The Album of the Year award was presented by members of the Los Angeles Fire Department, who were met with a standing ovation for their dedication during the Los Angeles wildfires.

«I want to express my gratitude to all the firefighters for their unwavering commitment to keeping us safe,» Beyoncé said in her heartfelt acceptance speech.

«I feel so full and honored. It’s been many, many years. Thank you to the Grammys, to every songwriter, every producer, every collaborator, and all the hard work that went into this project,» she continued.

«I dedicate this to Ms. Martell, and I hope we continue to break barriers,» she added, referring to Linda Martell, the first Black female country singer who collaborated with her on *Cowboy Carter*.

«Opening doors. God bless you all. Thank you so much.»

Chief Anthony Marrone of the LAPD addressed the crowd, calling it an «honor and privilege» to be among such talented professionals in the music industry.

He also took a moment to recognize and thank the first responders who worked tirelessly to combat the wildfires, offering condolences to those affected by the devastation.

«As fire chief, I want to thank the brave first responders who fought the fires,» Marrone said. «Our hearts are with the families who lost loved ones, homes, and businesses.

We will rebuild because we are LA strong.»

Beyoncé made a major impact in country music with *Cowboy Carter*, receiving 11 Grammy nominations, including for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Country Album.

*Cowboy Carter* marked her fifth nomination for Album of the Year, a category she had previously lost to Taylor Swift, Adele, and Harry Styles.

The ceremony was held live at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and aired on CBS, with streaming available on Paramount+.
