Britney Spears has opened up about why she strips naked for racy social media snaps and shares them with her millions of fans online.
The 41-year-old pop star has opened up about her life in a tell-all memoir A Woman In Me which is due to be releases this week and addresses why she shows off her famous figure so much on her Instagram page, which she has currently deactivated.
Over the years, the mother of two has been known for sharing risqué snaps and videos online and is often seen donning skimpy dresses and lingerie sets.
Britney recently went through a phase of sharing a slew of nude snaps and videos with her followers.
Addressing the reasons why she shares risquè photos online in a new excerpt, obtained by The New York Times, Britney writes in her memoir:
«I know that a lot of people don’t understand why I love taking pictures of myself naked or in new dresses.
«But I think if they’d been photographed by other people thousands of times, prodded and posed for other people’s approval, they’d understand that I get a lot of joy from posing the way I feel sexy and taking my own picture.»
When Britney went through a phase of sharing naked photos online, her ex Kevin Federline, whom she shares her two son Preston, 18 and Jayden, 17, with slammed the X-rated content.
Speaking to ITV news at the time, he said: «I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager, having to go to high school. Who knows how many people ask them about it or talk to them about it?»
However, Britney has since decided to come off Instagram days before the release of her book as she continues to make headlines across the world after bombshell revelations were revealed ahead of its release on October 24.
Teaser excerpts from the book have revealed details about her three-year romance with fellow singer Justin Timberlake in the 2000’s — which has also prompted the NSYNC band member to receive backlash.
