Jason Kelce breaks down in tears while discussing the victims of the New Orleans terror attack during the Super Bowl pre-game show
During the pre-game show for Super Bowl 2025, Jason Kelce became visibly emotional while discussing the victims of the New Orleans terror attack, particularly Tiger Bech, who tragically lost his life, and Ryan Quigley, who survived and is set to attend the championship game.

«Yeah, listen, there are some terrible people in this world,» the 37-year-old retired NFL star said on February 9, after viewing a segment about the two best friends and Philadelphia Eagles fans.
Bech, 28, was one of the 14 people killed in the attack on Bourbon Street on New Year’s Day, while Quigley, 26, sustained severe injuries.
Kelce, clearly moved, paused to gather his thoughts before continuing, «I had the honor of meeting Ryan.

The strength he has—you wouldn’t even know anything had happened if he wasn’t in a wheelchair before the Rams game.»
Quigley will be attending the 2025 Super Bowl at Caesars Superdome to watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Eagles and honor his late friend, as he had promised.
“When I woke up in the hospital, I thought, ‘That was my first night in New Orleans, and it’s definitely going to be my last,’” Quigley shared.

“I told myself I’d never return. I didn’t know the city and had no intention of ever getting to know it.”
He added, “But I made a promise to Tiger that if the Eagles made it to the Super Bowl, I’d take him. I’m still going to keep that promise, and we’re going to rewrite the story by returning to New Orleans and hopefully leaving with positive memories.”
Quigley received a special invitation from the Eagles and will be attending the game on Sunday with family and friends to watch the championship matchup.

The story deeply moved Jason Kelce. “On one hand, something horrific can happen, but on the other, something so beautiful can emerge from it,” he said.
“I’m just thrilled that he’ll be here representing Eagles fans everywhere. Hell yeah, Ryan.”
The 2025 Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will air on Fox on Sunday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
