Khloé Kardashian reunites with ex Lamar Odom for the first time in 9 years, reflecting on the ‘trauma’ of learning to ‘unlove’ him
Khloé Kardashian reflected on her past with Lamar Odom during the season 6 premiere of *The Kardashians* on Feb. 6, as she reunited with him for the first time in nine years.
She felt it was time to close that chapter of her life and decided to meet with Lamar privately at her best friend Malika Haqq’s home, keeping it a secret from her family.
Khloé, 40, shared that Lamar was once «the love of my life,» recalling their whirlwind marriage from 2009 to 2016.
Despite the intense love they shared, Khloé admitted that there were irreparable issues in their marriage. She reflected on their time together with mixed emotions, acknowledging both the brightest and darkest moments.
Having not spoken to Lamar since 2016, Khloé said she was ready to move on.
After Lamar’s 2015 overdose, which left him in a coma, Khloé took care of him for months before deciding to cut ties when his behavior became too difficult to handle. «I’m done,» she recalled telling him when she kicked him out of her house.
Now, nearly a decade later, Khloé wanted to return some of Lamar’s belongings. She made it clear that there were no lingering hard feelings and that the reunion wasn’t about healing, but simply about closure.
Lamar appeared nervous and uncomfortable during the meeting, while Khloé described herself as feeling detached, having gone through years of trauma and emotional healing from their past.
Despite the emotional complexity of the situation, Khloé noted that the reunion was both familiar and disorienting, expressing that she no longer recognized the man she once loved.
