Megan Thee Stallion is flipping the nail game on its head! The 29-year-old Grammy winner, who has been a standout at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, recently debuted a bold, futuristic look — complete with inverted nails.
At the Gaurav Gupta Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 show on January 29, Megan stunned in a strapless brown corset thong bodysuit adorned with metallic accents.
Ahead of the show, Megan shared her initial reaction to the inverted nail trend, confessing she didn’t quite understand it at first.
«I was scratching my head like, ‘What do that mean? Put the nail on backwards?'» she laughed. But once she saw the finished look, she was all in.
«It’s giving 2025 but in 3035,» she said. «That’s what the girls are gonna be doing, so you’re seeing it here first.»
In her GRWM video, Megan playfully explained her reversed nails, saying, «My nails are pointing at me because I love myself.»
Her nail artist, Tahvya Krok of Nailed by Tav, shared a closer look at the sleek brown nails on Instagram, calling the design «relic reversal.»
Krok has worked with Megan on several occasions, including creating a colorful striped design for her recent trip to South Korea and a special set for the «Mamushi» music video.
While Megan’s inverted nails brought the trend to the couture scene, it’s been gaining traction on TikTok for months, with creators experimenting with different lengths.
Megan completed her bold look with a reptilian headpiece and face chains at Paris’ Bridge Club.
She also attended the Giambattista Valli Haute Couture show in a dramatic red-orange ruffled dress and the Jean Paul Gaultier show in a voluminous black cape.
Beyond her fashion choices, Megan made waves with accessories like a massive Saint Laurent shearling bag at a Chicago Celtics-Bulls game.
