Patrick Mahomes calls Taylor Swift «the best» and shares that he owns some of her merchandise!
Ahead of the Super Bowl on February 9, Patrick Mahomes shared his admiration for Taylor Swift, calling her «the best» and revealing that he owns some of her merchandise.
The 29-year-old Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, whose wife, Brittany, is close friends with the pop star, spoke to reporters during a press conference at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
«I’ve got the top!» Mahomes added with enthusiasm, referring to his Swift memorabilia.
Patrick’s praise comes after he mentioned in October 2024 that Taylor Swift enjoys baking with his and Brittany’s 3-year-old daughter, Sterling Skye.
During an interview on *The Drive with Carrington Harrison*, Patrick was asked if Swift had ever baked for him. He revealed that although she hadn’t made anything specifically for him, she had shared various treats, such as muffins and donuts.
«Sterling’s a big baker as well, so they make some stuff together sometimes,» Patrick said, admitting he’s not shy about eating the goodies.
In addition to Sterling, Patrick and Brittany, both 29, have two other children: 2-year-old Patrick «Bronze» Lavon Mahomes III and newborn daughter Golden Raye, born on January 12, 2025
They shared the happy news with a sweet black-and-white photo of their newborn’s feet, captioning it with her name and birth date.
Swift, who began dating Patrick’s teammate Travis Kelce in October 2023, has been spotted spending time with Brittany on multiple occasions.
The two attended the US Open together in September 2024 and were later seen celebrating the Chiefs’ AFC Championship victory at Arrowhead Stadium in January 2025.
In a heartwarming moment shared on social media, Swift was seen hugging Brittany while singing along to «Get Down Tonight» by The Bee Gees.
Swift also thanked Brittany for keeping her calm during the past few weeks, as Brittany reassured her everything would be okay.
