When she attends a drama series screening, Jessica Chastain looks stylish in a suit from the 1970s
Just over nine weeks after the show’s debut and more than a month after the finale, Jessica Chastain continued to promote her most recent television series, George & Tammy.
The six-episode drama, which stars Chastain and Michael Shannon as country music icons Tammy Wynette and George Jones,
was screened on Sunday at The Whitby Hotel in upper midtown Manhattan. The Hollywood leading lady was there.
A striking red suit with loose-fitting pants that flared out wide enough to obscure her white shoes was what the Oscar-winning actress wore as she arrived at the hotel after being chauffeured there.
Additionally, a double-breasted blazer that wasn’t buttoned provided a better fit.
The star of The Help (2011) wore her ginger locks in a center part that flowed down over her chest, well over her shoulder, and to approximately the middle of her back.
When the fan-friendly star arrived for the event, it seemed she was already in promotion mode since she smiled warmly at a photographer who was taking pictures of her and then to some fans outside the hotel.
The flagship network Showtime, together with the Paramount Network and CMT,
all broadcast the first episode of the six-part drama television miniseries on December 4, 2022. The conclusion aired on January 8.
In the course of the drama, Jones and Wynette released nine studio albums and fifteen singles during the course of their turbulent relationship and concurrent careers.
The cast also featured Steve Zahn, Tim Blake Nelson, Kelly McCormack, Katy Mixon, Robert Morgan, Hendrix Yancey,
Walton Goggins, David Wilson Barnes, John Teer, and Joshua C. Allen in addition to Chastain and Shannon in the key roles.
Wynette, who suffered from health issues her entire life, passed away on April 6, 1998, while asleep in her home in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of just 55.
Jones was supposed to perform his last show on November 22, 2013, at the Bridgestone Arena in Downtown Nashville,
but he developed a mild temperature and abnormal blood pressure. Jones, 81, passed away on April 26, 2013, following six days in an intensive care unit.
Chastain received the Best Actress Oscar for the biographical drama.
