Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were in high spirits as they shared a laugh at their son Samuel’s 13th birthday celebration, showing they are «on great terms.»
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were spotted sharing a lighthearted moment at their son Samuel’s 13th birthday paintball party on Sunday, March 2, marking his transition into his teenage years.
Photos of the event, shared by Page Six, showed the friendly exes in high spirits.
“They’re on great terms,” a source told, adding, “Jen’s very happy with Ben.
He spends a lot of time with the kids.” Another insider mentioned, “They get along great. She makes him laugh like no one else can. She seems happy that Ben’s happy.”
Affleck and Garner, both 52, were dressed in camouflage attire for the outdoor paintball game, where they enjoyed time together celebrating their son.
Though the pair separated in 2015 after ten years of marriage and finalized their divorce three years later, they continue to unite for significant events in the lives of their three children—Violet, 19; Seraphina, 16; and Samuel.
After their split, both have moved forward with new relationships.
Garner has been in an on-and-off relationship with CEO John Miller since 2018, while Affleck was married to Jennifer Lopez for two years before their divorce in August 2024, which was finalized in January 2025.
“Ben’s casually dating,” a source said in February 2025, adding that “this doesn’t seem to be a focus though.”
The insider further shared that Affleck remains “very focused on work,” often spending long hours at the office when not filming.
Affleck also dedicates substantial time to his children, with a special bond reportedly growing between him and Samuel. “They’re very close,” the source added.
Meanwhile, Garner and Miller’s relationship continues to thrive.
A source in December 2024 shared that Garner is “very happy” with Miller, spending “a lot of time” with him and seeing him nearly every day.
Miller even joined Garner and her children for Thanksgiving 2024, after she and Affleck volunteered together with the kids.
A source close to Garner emphasized that her primary goal is her children’s happiness, stating, «She will continue to make sure that they spend time together as a family and include Ben.»
