It’s Billie Eilish’s Brat summer.
The nine-time Grammy winner appeared in both the single video and a remix of Charli XCX’s Brat bonus track, «Guess.»
The images, which were made public on August 1, feature Charli having fun with a group of dancers wearing skimpy clothing while vibrant underwear flies over the screen.
The 31-year-old makes reference to Billie’s 2024 song «Lunch,» which is equally sultry and is rumored to be about oral sex, while she sings about her own pair of briefs.
Charli sings, «Eat it up for lunch,» before bursting through the wall while operating a tractor. «Yes, it tastes really good.»
After that, Charli and Billie sing about their own underwear as they swagger along a street lined with lingerie stores. You guessed it.
«I noticed them peeking out as you sat down. Billie growls, «I’m going to tell you right now, they’re all I’m thinking about,» then casts a sidelong glance toward the «360» singer. «Charli knows I’d hit it, but she likes boys.»
The couple is seen dancing atop a real mountain of underwear as the video comes to a close.
Following their swagger, they stomp, twirl, and toss bras around, asking their admirers if they can guess what they and Billie have been texting about.
For those who are curious, what precisely is a brat? In addition to being the title of Charli’s sixth studio album, the singer describes it as «that girl who is a little messy and likes to party and maybe says some dumb things sometimes.»
Her music and attitude have really struck a chord with so many people that they’ve dubbed this season «brat summer,» praising bright green ensembles, strappy white tank tops, and large black sunglasses that go well with the album’s style.
Even Vice President Kamala Harris joined in, using green to mark her presidential campaign headquarters’ X (previously Twitter) page following Charli’s social media label of «brat.»
