Jason Kelce reveals that Travis’ relationship with Taylor Swift felt unique, stating, «He truly, genuinely liked her from the very beginning.»

Jason Kelce is reflecting on the early days of his brother Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift.

The 37-year-old former Philadelphia Eagles player appeared on the February 21 episode of The Steam Room podcast with Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson, where he briefly discussed his brother’s romance with the pop star.

When Johnson, 68, asked Jason how he first found out about the relationship between the 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player and Swift, Jason admitted he couldn’t quite recall the exact moment.

However, he did remember when Travis mentioned he was «hanging out» with the 14-time Grammy Award winner.

“I just remember thinking, ‘Are you serious? You’re hanging out with Taylor Swift? That’s crazy.

That’s awesome for you,’” Jason shared. He added that the relationship felt different from the start.

“What also felt different was just the way he talks about her, and how he talked about her from the beginning,” he said.

“You could tell right away how much he really, really liked her,” Jason continued. “That was very eye-opening for me when we first started talking about it.”

In his Friday interview, Jason’s comments followed up on his February 18 appearance on the Fitz & Whit podcast, where he noted that Travis is «changing» and growing due to the people he surrounds himself with.

This led to speculation that Swift might be one of those influential figures.

«He was like Peter Pan, the lost boys,» Jason explained, adding, «Sometimes you get people in your life that bring that out of you. And that’s a good thing.»

The couple first made headlines in September 2023 after Swift attended a few of Travis’s games, fueling rumors about their relationship.

Their bond was confirmed shortly after when the singer was spotted cheering for the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

Swift has since been seen at multiple games, including both the 2024 and 2025 Super Bowl events.

Meanwhile, Travis has attended several Eras Tour concerts during their relationship.

Recently, during the January 15 episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, Travis shared that he and Swift “are happy” and that he’s enjoying all aspects of life.

“I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium,” he said, adding that the strength of their relationship has helped him focus on his craft and become the best version of himself.
