Kate Middleton unveils a powerful new photo of herself, captured by her 6-year-old son, Prince Louis, in honor of World Cancer Day
In a heartfelt message ahead of World Cancer Day, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, shares a personal note three weeks after revealing she is in «remission» from cancer.
The post was shared on social media the day before World Cancer Day, which is observed globally on February 4.
The post features a fresh image of Princess Kate smiling in the woods, her arms raised to the sun, taken by her 6-year-old son, Prince Louis.
Her message reads, “Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease. C,” accompanied by the hashtag #WorldCancerDay.
The photo, captured by Prince Louis in Windsor, is accompanied by another image taken by Kate, showing a close-up of branches from the same location.
Both photos feature the same words in white text: «Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease.»
The second image, credited to Kate, zooms in on ferns—a meaningful plant symbolizing resilience, endurance, and new beginnings, often associated with growth and renewal.
Last year, Kate wore ferns in her jewelry as a reminder of these qualities.
The Princess wore Catherine Zoraida’s Gold Fern Drop Earrings during a visit to Southport in October 2024, where she met with the community grieving after a tragic stabbing.
The visit marked her first public appearance since completing chemotherapy in September. Nature, particularly during her cancer journey, has been a source of comfort and joy for Kate.
After revealing her cancer diagnosis in March 2024, the Princess had largely stayed out of the public eye but shared in January that she is now in remission.
She had a surprise visit to The Royal Marsden Hospital, where she had received treatment, and confirmed her new patronage alongside Prince William.
Kate is gradually resuming royal duties, including a trip to South Wales on January 30.
Known for her love of photography, Kate’s new photo shows her youngest son, Prince Louis, following in her creative footsteps.
The new picture marks Louis’ first credited photograph of his mother. Kate and Prince William are also parents to Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 9.
