Amanda Holden has shared how she is totally behind her lookalike daughter, 18, posting bikini snaps online.
The TV favourite, 53, is no stranger to showing off her famous figure in a bikini. And recently, daughter, Lexi, appeared to take a leaf out of her famous mum’s book and share her own bikini snap online.
Looking the spit of Amanda, Lexi shared a snap on Instagram, lounging on some steps by the clear blue ocean. Wearing a bikini strikingly similar to one her mum wore on a trip to Sicily in Summer 2022, Lexi looked the part.
Now, Amanda has revealed how she is all about “body positivity” in her house and is totally behind her daughter sharing bikini photos.
In a new interview, Amanda shared how Lexi spoke to her and husband Chris Hughes about uploading the bikini photo.
“She is 18 years old now, so I feel like she’s confident, and we have always encouraged body positivity in our house,” she revealed to MailOnline.
“I feel like if she’s ready to do that, then we’re all for it. She knows what could happen from doing it, but I think she should be able to do what she wants, when she wants, and at 18 that’s the correct time to do it,” she said.
Amanda, who is also mother to Hollie, 11, added how she “wouldn’t have encouraged it before.” The BGT judge recalled a bikini photo Lexi shared last year when she was 17.
She said: “But again, that’s her choice, we are happy if she is happy.”
In 2022, Lexi signed with Storm Model agency, the same agency that launched the career of British fashion icon Kate Moss. But despite her promising modelling career, she’s not putting all her eggs in one basket just yet.
