For the May/June 2023 Maxim cover, which debuted this week, Ashley Graham disrobed to her underwear.
This represents a significant shift for the lad magazine, which featured young celebrities frequently, including Melissa Joan Hart in 1999, when she was just 22 and a size 2.
Graham, a curvier mainstream model (she dislikes the term «plus size»), is a married 35-year-old mother of three and is far from being in her twenties.
Maxim appears to be evolving as magazines become more diverse. She previously appeared on a Maxim cover in 2016, covering her bare chest with a sheet.
The cover model, who partied this week with Khloe Kardashian, was photographed for the new issue wearing a nude bra and matching high-waisted underwear that highlighted her well-known curves.
Graham was named one on the Hot 100 World’s Sexiest Women cover. Ashley Graham is the 2023 Hot 100 cover girl for Maxim, the magazine gushed in its Instagram caption.
Whether she is appearing on the red carpet or posing for glitzy photo shoots as the World’s Sexiest Woman, «the queen of curves» is as stunning as she is motivational.

With the caption «Thank you for having me,» Graham posted a behind-the-scenes photo from her photo shoot on her Instagram page.
The mother-of-three was previously spotted promoting a collagen-boosting serum from St Tropez Tan in early April, which she said works wonders for the skin.
The Vogue model posted on Instagram, «Some people say find your beach, I say find your @sttropeztan loving my new collagen-enhancing Luxe Body Serum,» along with the hashtag «glow with confidence.»
