Britney Spears put aside her latest family drama to share a festive throwback montage to her Instagram page on Wednesday.
Her father Jamie, with whom she has an infamously fractious relationship due in large part to his controversial conservatorship of her, has just faced a health crisis.
It emerged on Monday that he had to have a leg amputated after contracting an infection and was ‘not doing well,’ in the words of a TMZ source.
There have been conflicting claims about whether there is any glimmer of hope that Britney and Jamie could mend fences at his sickbed.
However Britney offered no hint of turmoil on Instagram this Tuesday, posting a flashback montage of her and her manager Cade Hudson on vacation.
The videos were taken over the summer while Britney and Cade — who are best friends as well as professional associates — were holidaying in Mexico.
One of the clips showed Britney and Cade dancing sinuously indoors, she modeling a highlighter green bikini and he shirtless.
The Toxic singer posed with her friend in front of a dazzling ocean view, as well as alone in the mirror while wrapped in a cherry-red minidress.
‘Kiss my motherf ing a… go ahead !!! Kiss it !!!’ she crowed in the caption, adding that the footage was from ‘Mexico in June of this year’.
Britney was similarly reminiscent the previous day, as she shared a number of throwback family snaps, including one with her dad Jamie.
The post came following reports that she, 42, does not want to reconcile with her father, 71, despite his recent health issues and leg amputation.
However, Britney was certainly in a nostalgic mood as she posted multiple photos which mostly saw her carrying her now-teenage sons back when they were toddlers.
In the sweet photo that featured Jamie, taken back in 2008 in Los Angeles, he was pictured walking with Britney and his grandson, as he held a sippie cup, a juice box and the tot’s lunch box in his hands.
The star didn’t explain her reason for posting the snaps, with her caption simply giving credit to the photo agencies.
