Cate Blanchett redesigned a vintage oսtfit to impress at an important event
On Sunday, Cate Blanchett attended the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles and looked absolutely stunning.
The 53-year-old Australian actress attended the star-studded celebration wearing an old Armani gown she had worn on the red carpet in 2016.
Cate’s dress had a plunging neckline, a figure-hugging shape, and gorgeous lace covering the bust and back.
The high-fashion dress accentuated her slender form, and she accessorized with a glamorous makeup look that included a delicate pink lip and dewy foundation.
For her role in Tár, Cate was nominated for a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Leading Role.
Seven years ago, Cate donned the outfit to the 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards in Los Angeles.
She has since added a deeper neckline and lace accents to the dress, though.
At the SAG Awards, Cate seemed upbeat and socialized with A-listers including Amy Poehler and Aubrey Plaza.
Cate won Best Actress at the BAFTAs last week for her role as a narcissistic orchestra conductor in the film Tár.
She won the award over Viola Davis, Michelle Yeoh, Danielle Deadwyler, Ana de Armas, Emma Thompson, and others.
In her address, she also expressed her gratitude to her family, stating, «[Thank you] so much for letting me leave because this was, honestly, it did take a lot.» It took me a great deal of time away from you.
«A huge amount?» I have no idea what that implies. I was in that situation.
She recently remarked that the drama’s topics inspired the cast and crew, making the filming experience «the most stimulating» she had ever experienced.
She plays Lydia Tár, a famous gay conductor of a Berlin orchestra, in the film, whose glittering career is marred by an abuse scandal.
