Charlize, who has always been a devoted mother, spoke candidly to Chelsea Handler for Elle about the decision to adopt her two kids, which Gerda helped to make.
«My mother showed me a letter I’d written when I was young; I asked if we may go to the orphanage when I initially registered [for adoption].
I wanted a brother or sister because there were so many orphanages in South Africa. I have always been aware of the large number of orphaned children in the globe.
She stated, «Adoption is a highly personal matter. «There are folks I like who don’t think they could parent another child as their own. I honor that.
But, I never noticed a difference between raising an adopted child and my own biological child, and I know I can’t be the only one out there. I don’t sense like I am lacking anything.
