Charlize Theron wowed on the red carpet of the 96th Annual Academy Awards ceremony, which was held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday afternoon.
The 48-year-old wore a stunning silver Dior Haute Couture dress as she posed for a few photos during the entertainment industry’s biggest night.
The actress — who recently listed her Hollywood Hills mansion for nearly $4 million — also accessorized with numerous pieces of Boucheron jewelry that paired well with the neutral tone of her clothing.
Theron’s beautiful blonde locks were tied back into a tight bun for the length of the awards ceremony.
The performer received the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2004 for her work in the biographical drama feature Monster.
The feature was centered on the life of Aileen Wuornos, a sex worker who murdered several of her clients and was ultimately executed in 2002.
Monster also starred Christina Ricci as Wuornos’ semi-fictionalized partner Selby Wall, and performers such as Bruce Dern and Scott Wilson filled out the cast of the feature.
Theron went on to take home several other awards for her portrayal of the serial killer, including the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama and the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
The native of South Africa was subsequently nominated for the Oscar for Best Actress for her work in the 2005 feature North Country, although it was ultimately given to Reese Witherspoon.
The performer’s most recent Oscar nod came in 2020, when she was put up for the Best Actress award for her portrayal of Megyn Kelly in the 2019 drama feature Bombshell.
That year’s distinction was given to Renee Zellweger for her portrayal of Judy Garland in the biographical drama film Judy.
