When he was married to Demi Moore, 60, Ashton Kutcher, 44, experienced parenthood before becoming a dad with his wife Mila Kunis. The former star of That ’70s Show was married to Demi from 2005 to 2011 and was a stepdaughter to the three daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis, whom she shares with her ex-husband Bruce Willis.
Rumer Willis is 34 years old, Scout is 31 years old, and Tallulah Willis is 28 years old. In an interview with Esquire that was published on January 31, Ashton stated that being a stepdad at the time wasn’t always easy.
According to the interview, the Your Place Or Mine actor still maintains relationships with all three of his former stepdaughters, including Rumer, who is currently expecting her first child. Rumer is currently pregnant. However, Ashton did admit that at the time, becoming Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah’s stepdad was «a lot» for him.
When Ashton and Rumer reconnected in a pub in June 2019, it was evident that he had patched things up with his former stepdaughters. When Rumer went on Red Table Talk later that year, right around the time Demi was publishing her memoir, which revealed details about her marriage to Ashton, she brought up Ashton.
According to the Sorority Row actress, she was «mad» with Ashton while he was married to her mother since Demi was struggling with alcoholism despite having been sober for 20 years at the time.
Rumer admitted, «So much of that time, especially with Ashton, I was so angry because I felt like something that was mine, had been taken away,» before revealing that her mother was trying to conceive again during the marriage despite having a miscarriage while six months pregnant with Ashton’s baby.
Rumer stated that she felt left out since Demi’s pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage received «so much publicity.» After seeing photos of Demi’s growing tummy, she eventually left the house but later patched things up with her mother.
Unexpectedly, Ashton, who is now the father of two children, discussed his relationship with Demi during the Esquire interview. He remarked about Demi’s late-term miscarriage and how «traumatic» it was.
In addition, Ashton acknowledged that following the A-listers’ divorce, he felt «like a failure.» Fortunately, Ashton found Mila, 39, again, and the two have gone on to become one of Hollywood’s most adored couples.
