Kim Kardashian made a stunning appearance at the 2025 Oscars afterparty, wearing a white dress that evoked memories of the gown she donned for her 2011 wedding to Kris Humphries.

Kim Kardashian, 44, attended the Vanity Fair Oscars Party on March 2, 2025, wearing a strapless white Balenciaga ball gown.

She opted for a minimalist makeup look with a nude lip and subtle eye makeup, while her dark hair was styled in a sleek updo.

Fans quickly noticed that her gown bore a striking resemblance to another iconic dress she had worn before: the custom Vera Wang ball gown she chose for her 2011 wedding to then-husband Kris Humphries.

The dress featured a voluminous tulle skirt and sweetheart neckline, making it a memorable moment from her short-lived marriage.

Kardashian, who later married Kanye West in 2014, previously shared that she felt like a «princess» on her wedding day, thanks to the gown.

She and Humphries, 40, married in an extravagant $6 million ceremony in August 2011, which was televised as a special.

However, just 72 days later, Kardashian filed for divorce.

In 2019, Humphries opened up in The Players’ Tribune, expressing that his relationship with Kardashian had been «100% real,» but acknowledging that the public nature of their breakup had been painful.

“It sucked,” he said, reflecting on the challenge of handling such a personal situation on the world stage.

Two years later, Kardashian spoke about the end of her marriage with Humphries during a Keeping Up with the Kardashians reunion, admitting to Andy Cohen that she had handled the breakup poorly.

«I fully broke up with him in the worst way, and I just didn’t know how to deal. I learned so much from it,” she confessed.

She also acknowledged that she owed him an apology, sharing that she had attempted to reach out to him for months after the divorce.

Kardashian reflected on the situation, wishing she had opted for an annulment instead of a divorce, adding, «I wish I was only married once.»
