Kristin Davis reveals the honest and «embarrassing» reason she was reluctant to break up with Alec Baldwin.
Kristin Davis is opening up about her brief romance with Alec Baldwin and the «embarrassing» reason she hesitated to end their relationship in the early 2000s.
The *Sex and the City* star, 60, shared the story during the Feb. 27 episode of Literally! with Rob Lowe, when Rob Lowe asked about her time with Baldwin, whom she briefly dated around 2001.

“One of the best things about Alec Baldwin when I dated him was his incredible house in Amagansett,” Davis recalled, laughing.
“I remember telling Sarah Jessica [Parker] at work, ‘I don’t know if this is going to work out with Alec and me, but I really love that house.’
That’s literally one of the only times I’ve felt that way,” she continued. “I don’t want to break up with him because I like his house. It’s so embarrassing to admit, but it’s true.”

The house was clearly a highlight for both Davis and Baldwin. The 66-year-old actor purchased the 10,000-square-foot home in 1996, which was originally built in 1740.
Baldwin even shared a video tour of the house in 2024, stating that he «fell in love with this place the moment I came here.»
Later in the conversation, Lowe asked about another dating experience where Davis had loaned money to an actor who later ghosted her.

Davis clarified that it wasn’t Baldwin, who was already well-known by the time they dated. She explained that the actor in question “was so rich” when they were together.
When Lowe pressed her for the name of the actor, Davis laughed and said, “I’m not going to tell you that name.
I feel so bad about telling this story because now he’s a con artist. He was an out-of-work actor, people. I can’t name names. I’ll tell you next time I see you.”

Davis had previously shared this story on the Jan. 20 episode of her Are You a Charlotte? podcast, revealing that she loaned the actor around $5,000, calling it a “horrible mistake.”
She cautioned her listeners, “Do not lend money to someone you’re dating. It doesn’t end well.”
In addition to her dating stories, Davis also opened up about her current approach to relationships.

While she’s focused on raising her two children, Gemma Rose, 13, and Wilson, 7, she admitted that dating hasn’t been a priority.
“Dating’s tough as a single mom. My friends think I should be dating because life is short,” Davis explained.
She recalled how Sarah Jessica Parker once suggested putting her on a dating app, to which Davis responded, “I will kill you. Do not!”
