Meghan Markle makes a heartfelt tribute to Princess Diana by wearing a Northwestern sweatshirt as she enjoys a relaxing weekend.

On Sunday, February 23, Meghan Markle shared a glimpse of her weekend activities on Instagram Stories, wearing a purple Northwestern University crewneck.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, attended the university from 1999 to 2003, earning a double major in Theater and International Relations.

Princess Diana, who passed away in 1997, had a similar sweatshirt as a keepsake from her visit to Northwestern University in June 1996, long before Meghan met Prince Harry.

Diana also toured the Chicago area, meeting students and visiting a local hospital.

She was later photographed wearing the sweatshirt outside the Chelsea Harbour Club in London, pairing it with white biker shorts and sneakers.

Meghan’s Instagram Stories also showed a sweet family moment with her children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.

While watering the garden in the California sun, a small hand reached out to help with the hose.

The peaceful family moment came as Meghan enjoyed a break from work, sharing a video of herself walking in slip-on shoes in her backyard with the caption, «Small break from work to soak in the weekend ☀️.»

Despite taking some time off, the Duchess is preparing for a busy period, with her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan and her lifestyle brand As Ever both launching soon.

The lifestyle show will debut on March 4, with the trailer showing Meghan engaging in various activities, including cooking and flower arranging.

As part of her weekend relaxation, Meghan was seen picking an orange and squeezing it into a glass of fizz in more Instagram Stories.

She also shared moments of enjoying the «first blooms» of spring in the idyllic California weather and took a walk with her rescue beagle, Mamma Mia, whom she and Harry, 40, adopted in August 2022.

Meghan also paid tribute to her late beagle, Guy, who passed away in January, writing a heartfelt message on Instagram:

«Thank you for so many years of unconditional love, my sweet Guy.»

As the premiere of Meghan’s show approaches, actress Mindy Kaling shared her experience participating in the show and learning tips for hosting a children’s party.

«I love cooking, but I’m really not good at entertaining,» Kaling told.

«But Meghan just knows how to do that stuff.»
