Meghan Markle opens up about the lesson she gained from a shared hobby that she and Kate Middleton both adore

In the debut of *With Love, Meghan* on Netflix, Meghan Markle offers a glimpse into her life, sharing insights from her personal passions.

In the premiere episode, Meghan reflects on a lesson she learned through a hobby she shares with Kate Middleton.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, welcomed viewers into her world as she tackled beekeeping, handling a live hive with ease.

«It’s about embracing the challenge and finding calm,» Meghan shared, pulling away honey from the hive. «It’s a reminder to do something that scares you a little.

But it’s about staying calm and connected. It’s a beautiful feeling.» Beekeeping is just one of the many activities Meghan explores in *With Love, Meghan*, her fifth project with Netflix as part of the deal she and Prince Harry signed in 2020.

Serving as both host and executive producer, Meghan invites viewers into her kitchen, garden, and even at the beehive as she prepares to host friends from all walks of life.

The hobby Meghan takes on is a shared interest with her sister-in-law, Princess Kate, who also keeps bees at her country home, Anmer Hall.

In May 2023, the Princess of Wales marked World Bee Day by posting a photo of herself tending to her hive, highlighting the importance of bees in our ecosystem.

She had also previously brought honey from her hives when visiting schoolchildren. The passion for beekeeping runs in the family, with Queen Camilla also keeping bees at her home, Ray Mill House, and selling honey for charity at Fortnum & Mason.

In *With Love, Meghan*, viewers see Meghan’s hands-on approach to cooking, gardening, and crafting, sharing tips and tricks that add beauty to daily life.

Throughout the eight episodes, Meghan offers a closer look at her personal life, inviting viewers into her home in California, where she finds joy in rediscovering herself as her children grow older.

As a mother and wife, she reflects on the fulfillment of having more time to focus on her own passions.

«When your kids reach a certain age, when you’re not just in the sandbox with them but almost creating your own sandbox, it’s incredibly joyful,» Meghan shares.

«As a woman, a mom, and a wife, finding yourself again is a beautiful thing.»
