Nicole Kidman believes iոtimacy is important and racy behavior should be shown on screen

Nicole Kidman believes that sex is “important” and thinks that the experience should be “depicted” on the silver screen.

She told Harper’s Bazaar back in 2021: “I’m not willing to just do [sex scenes] willy-nilly, but if there’s a reason for it…

I’ve always said that [sex] is a very important connection between human beings. Why would you not depict it on screen?”

Kidman’s candid comment featured in the October issue of the publication, for which Nicole opened up about some other notable moments in her career.

Nicole has played a number of intense roles throughout her time in Hollywood and has even focussed on abusive relationships.

She once had to explain the bruises on her body to her daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret after filming for Big Little Lies, a HBO series where she played Celeste, a woman in a physically abusive relationship.

Kidman is married to Keith Urban and the pair tied the knot back in 2006. She once spoke to E! News Daily Pop about how the pair navigate her on screen sex scenes and explained that he “doesn’t get involved”.

“My husband is an artist, so he understands all of it and he also does not get involved. He sees the show at the very end when it’s a show, all edited together, and he’s fresh eyes.

He doesn’t read any script, he really doesn’t know what’s going on on the set, he’s got his own career that he’s completely absorbed in. He doesn’t know much about what I’m really doing.”

Nicole has spoken about how the pair met, which she essentially branded as love at first sight.

After bumping into the country music star, the A-list couple embarked on a relationship and after less than six months, Kidman decided she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life.
