The nominees for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are announced!
The full list of nominees for the forthcoming awards presentation was unveiled by MTV on Tuesday, August 6. Taylor Swift tops the field with ten nominations, followed by Post Malone with nine.
Six nominations were received by Ariana Grande, Eminem, and Sabrina Carpenter; five nominations apiece went to Megan Thee Stallion and SZA; four nominations apiece went to LISA, Olivia Rodrigo, and Teddy Swims.
Along with Benson Boone, Tyla, Chappell Roan, Jelly Roll, Rauw Alejandro, Sexxy Red, Victoria Monét, and other newcomers, Carpenter and Swims are among the 29 candidates.
Swift is up against Grande, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Eminem, and SZA in the highly sought-after video of the year category.
She hopes to extend her record-breaking streak and shatter her own record to become the only artist to ever win the category five times.
Voters can select their preferred categories at vote.mtv.com, starting on Tuesday and continuing through Friday, August 30.
The ceremony this year will be broadcast live on September 10 at 8 p.m. ET from UBS Arena in New York.
