Pink wowed everyone with her toսching rendition of a medley of her hits
The celebration is pink! At the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the 43-year-old celebrity accepted the 2023 iHeartRadio Icon Award after a stunning performance by some of music’s biggest acts.
The legendary husband-and-wife team of Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo paid tribute to the «So What» hitmaker by singing her hit song, «Just Like a Pill,» following a moving introduction by Kelly Clarkson.
Pink stunned the crowd by joining Kelly, 40, in the chorus of «Just Give Me a Reason,» which she performed beautifully. The winner of the icon Award concluded the medley with a stirring rendition of «What About Us.»
Pink delivered an emotional acceptance speech about vulnerability after receiving her prize. Although she asserted that many individuals avoid showing vulnerability, she said it was her «life’s mission» to do so through her art.
She also acknowledged the assistance of her spouse and children. The Icon Award was previously given to Elton John, and Jennifer Lopez received it the previous year.
She launched the show with a passionate rendition of her single, «TRUSTFALL,» singing her heart out on a tiered platform with aerial acrobats swirling and twirling around her.
This was done before the legendary performer took the stage with Pat, Neil, and Kelly.
She wore a dress with a ruffled pink and purple skirt and a black crewneck shirt for the extra fun performance, as can be seen in the photo below.
During her red carpet interview with iHeartRadio, she teased her performance and mentioned that she would be joined on stage by «four new characters,» who would also be joining her on her future tour.
She said, «I am the only one there this time that’s safe,» when asked if she would perform some of her trademark aerial antics.
Pink arrived at the event wearing a white blazer and matching pleated maxi skirt to the red carpet.
She accessorized with a silver necklace and earrings so that the white would stand out against her tanned complexion. Together with her son Jameson Hart, 6, and daughter Willow Hart, 11,
who she has with her husband Carey Hart, she also used the carpet. Jameson looked dapper in gray slacks and a matching vest, which he wore over a white tee.
Willow looked stunning in a pink dress with a sparkly overlay and a ruffled skirt. Jameson wore white sneakers, while Willow wore black combat boots with her cute attire.
The largest tour of Pink’s career, a stadium run throughout North America, will get underway in July. The tour,
dubbed the Summer Carnival 2023 tour, would begin at the Rogers Centre in Toronto and end in October with a total of 21 performances.
Brandi Carlile, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Grouplove, and DJ KidCutUp are some of her opening performers.
The gifted mother of two issued the singles «Never Gonna Not Dance Again» in November 2022 and «Trustfall» this year on her ninth studio album, TRUSTFALL, which was released in February.
The follow-up to her Hurts 2B Human project from 2019 is the album TRUSTFALL.
«I was patient. When she appeared on Good Morning America in November, she discussed her writing process for her new album.
«I had time and I had a lot of really devastating things happen,» she said. «With COVID, my son and I became seriously ill. That reduced what really important for me in a way.
To do it, a crisis is necessary. It takes your children getting sick for you to realize that nothing of this is important.
I want to watch my kids mature. That is what I desire. I merely want to spread the truth in this world. I only want to be true to myself. And I want to improve and be kinder to people.
Between her past two albums, Pink also lost her father, Jim Moore, which had an impact on her writing. She remembered, «I just started making music and making—speaking in melody.
«And it all fit together… I believe that, in some ways, I serve as an example of how to live truly and boldly. My album is a piece of me.
During her iHeartRadio Awards red carpet interview, she declared that TRUSTFALL is her current favorite project.
She exclaimed, «I turn it on and listen to it from beginning to end and I feel better and it feels like it passes by incredibly fast. I wouldn’t skip a single song because «it’s in my heart, in my soul.»
