Salma Hayek, 56, never fails to impress with her stunning red carpet appearances. The actress, who is of Mexican descent, came at the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 12 in Hollywood,

California, with her 15-year-old daughter Valentina wearing an orange Gucci sequin gown.

The seductive dress had a keyhole, halter neckline that flowed into a fitted bodice, a straight skirt with a short train,

and sequins that changed to create a tinsel-like effect. The stunning woman with raven hair kept her hair in a beach wave.

Valentina, the daughter she has with her husband François-Henri Pinault, also wore a red outfit and carried a silver Gucci bag and looked stunning.

The Once Once a Time in Mexico actor was scheduled to give a presentation at the yearly red carpet affair.

She joins a long list of A-List celebrities, including Sigourney Weaver, Danai Gurira, Halle Bailey, Elizabeth Banks, John Cho, Andrew Garfield, Danai Gurira, Nicole Kidman, Florence Pugh, and Antonio Banderas.

Salma is nominated for an Oscar for the 2002 film Frida, on which she also served as producer.

She portrayed renowned artist Frida Kahlo in the film, which led to her being nominated for an Oscar Award for Best Actress.

As the first Mexican woman to get the distinction, she also set a record.

Halle Berry won the top honor for Monster’s Ball that year, setting a milestone as the first Black woman to do so.

Salma admitted that while it was «wonderful to be nominated» she was ultimately «glad when the entire thing was finished» in an interview with Oprah Winfrey the following year.

She continued, «It’s incredibly exhausting! the events, the hair, and the makeup. In September 2003, I told The Oprah Magazine that all I wanted to do was stay in and read or watch TV.

She also admitted that she «didn’t know» if she would succeed or fail. «I had no idea. Then I asked myself, «Why not?» I may be the culprit just as easily as anyone else.

I hadn’t yet won any of the awards for which I was nominated [British Academy Film and Television Award, Chicago Film Critics Award, Golden Globe Award,

Screen Actors Guild Award], so I thought, «Maybe this is the one I’ll get. «—except for an award in Germany [the Golden Camera award for best international actress].

To deliver the Oscar to the Frida Kahlo Home in Mexico, where Frida previously resided, was the only reason I wanted to win.

It’s going to make me cry right now,» she added. «I wanted every Mexican who entered that museum to keep in mind that my inspiration for making this movie and for having this goal had everything to do with my origins,

and that I didn’t stop dreaming until the movie was finished.

Yet the movie, not the Oscar, was the dream. But you know, I thought the Oscars would serve as a wonderful reminder for Mexico.
