The 47-year-old actress continues to express her support for Iranian women, who endure severe prejudice in their nation.

On February 20, the Oscar winner used Instagram to promote a brand-new humanitarian art project in which women,

including her daughters Zahara Jolie Pitt, 18, and Shiloh Jolie Pitt, 16, had their hair cut off in solidarity of Iranian women.

In the statement, Angelina vowed that «my family are taking part» in the endeavor, implying that she also removed Vivienne Jolie Pitt, 14,’s hair.

In her social media post, Angelina shared images of Zahara and Shiloh having hair cuts.

She chopped Zahara’s black ponytail with scissors before showcasing Shiloh’s new buzz cut in two different pictures.

Following the haircuts, Angelina took a photo of hair from both Zahara and Shiloh. The actress from Eternals also contributed a video montage of all the hair that would be utilized in the exhibition.

In her caption, Angelina provided further information about the charitable endeavor.

She added, «My buddy @PruneNourry is organizing a stunning art piece to celebrate the fortitude of strong Iranian women who are fighting for equality and rights. My family is participating.

In addition to providing the address in Paris where the hair should be received, Angelina stated that «anyone can join in the project.» She stated that the exhibit will open on March 8 in New York City.

Angelina is well renowned for her activism in various countries.

She has made numerous appearances on Capitol Hill as a witness while serving as a Special Envoy for the United Nations Commission on Refugees. In September 2022,

she made a significant effort to support Iranian women who were protesting Mahsa Amini’s death at the age of 22. Iran’s morality police jailed Mahsa for donning her headscarf too loosely, and she later passed away.

Officials said she died naturally, despite the fact that postmortem examination of her body revealed evidence of abuse.

Angelina posted images of the protests and the statement, «Women don’t need their morals policed, their minds re-educated, or their bodies controlled,» on Instagram at the time.

They require the freedom to exist without fear of harm or violence. She concluded her letter by saying, «To the ladies of Iran, we see you.»
