Six weeks after finalizing their divorce, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially been declared single.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are officially single.
Although their divorce was settled on January 6, the Los Angeles County Superior Court has formally declared the dissolution of their marriage and their legal single status as of Friday, February 21, according to court documents.

The couple, who rekindled their romance in 2021, married in a private Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022 before hosting a celebration in Georgia with family and friends in August 2022.
Lopez filed for divorce on the two-year anniversary of their Georgia ceremony, citing irreconcilable differences and naming April 26, 2024, as their date of separation.
She filed without legal representation, requesting no spousal support for either party, a split of attorney fees, and leaving the specifics of their shared and separate assets to be determined.

Lopez also requested that her maiden name, Jennifer Lynn Lopez, be reinstated.
Documents revealed that the former couple will divide the proceeds from their Beverly Hills mansion sale.
The property was listed for sale in July 2024 and remained on the market as of January, with both parties set to share the sale’s final price, although the exact distribution remains private.

Since their divorce settlement in January, both Lopez and Affleck have kept busy with professional endeavors.
Lopez debuted her new movie musical Kiss of the Spider Woman at the Sundance Film Festival in January, which was produced by Affleck’s company, Artists Equity.

Affleck recently appeared in a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial with his brother, Casey Affleck, and will soon be seen in The Accountant 2, the sequel to his 2016 thriller.
The film will premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on March 8 before hitting theaters on April 25.
