Back in 2020, it was made public that Prince Harry had signed a deal with Penguin Random House and had started writing a memoir with author John Mehringer.

The publication of the book was frequently postponed, and eventually the duke decided to give up on the concept completely.

Nevertheless, on January 10, the public was introduced to Prince Harry’s memoirs, which was given the elegant title «Spare.»

The younger prince had already received $20 million, as the Western media later learned. That is not all, though.

The Duke reportedly received a sizable portion of sales, or $16 million, according to The Mirror.

And this is not at all surprising given that the prince’s memoirs have already broken records and become bestsellers in the UK.

Even if some of the Duke’s discoveries were already available online before to the publication, there were still a number of people who wanted to buy the book.

400 thousand paper, electronic, and audio copies were sold in just one week.

«We were optimistic that this memoir would be a hit, but it far surpassed all of our hopes.

The Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling is the only book that outsold them, according to managing director of the publishing business Larry Finlay.

By the way, Prince Harry recently said that his autobiography would be sufficient for at least one more book.

The duke and the editor trimmed 800 pages to 400 pages, which resulted in the original edition of «Spare» being twice as long.

And even though Prince Harry now asserts that this was done in order to avoid a full-blown argument with family, perhaps Sussex fans will eventually wait for the next chapter.
