The reasons behind Cameron Diaz and Madden’s $18 million house sale
Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz are making some adjustments to their living arrangement.
The reason behind the 51-year-old actress and her 45-year-old musician husband listing their huge L.A. property in the Benedict Canyon district of Beverly Hills earlier this month was disclosed to PEOPLE by a source on Friday, July 19.
«They have multiple residences in Los Angeles and are choosing to let go of the Benedict property so that they can take residency at another one of their homes,» according to a source.
«It is not where they are living,» the insider continues, even if Diaz and Madden «love» more sedate neighborhoods like Montecito, where they also own a house.
«They spend time there on occasion, but their life revolves around Los Angeles.»
According to property records, the huge farmhouse-inspired home situated on 1.6 acres was advertised for $17.8 million on July 9 by the actress of Bad Teacher and guitarist of Good Charlotte, who were married in 2015.
A few days later, Joel Madden, Benji’s twin brother, and his spouse Nicole Richie allegedly advertised their Beverly Hills mansion for $13 million, however the two incidents don’t seem to be connected.
