Adam Sandler shares that Eminem has an «incredible» cameo in Happy Gilmore 2, calling him «a great guy»

Adam Sandler confirmed on The Dan Patrick Show on December 6 that Happy Gilmore 2 has officially wrapped filming

Sandler, 58, shared some exciting details about the movie, which features cameos from celebrities like Dan Patrick, Travis Kelce, and more.

During the interview, Patrick, 67, revealed that Eminem, 52, will also make an appearance in the film. «I don’t know if— they’re going to yell at me no matter what because they asked me not to do any press, but what do you want to say?» Sandler joked, before letting Patrick spill the beans

. «You say it and I’ll tell you if it’s good or bad to talk about,» he added.

When asked about Eminem’s cameo in Happy Gilmore 2, Patrick laughed and asked, «Can I talk about Eminem having a cameo?» Sandler confirmed, saying, «Eminem was cool, he came by, he was great.»

He didn’t reveal what role the rapper would play, but praised his performance, saying, «I’ve known Eminem for a long time, he’s a great guy… he was funny as hell.» Sandler added that Eminem filmed a lot of material, with plenty of great lines.

Netflix announced the sequel in May, following a slip from Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin, about the film’s development.

Along with McDonald, Travis Kelce, Margaret Qualley, and Benny Safdie will also star in the sequel.

During his appearance on Patrick’s show, Sandler hinted that retired golf legend Jack Nicklaus, 84, also has a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2. He shared that he hopes to release the comedy on Netflix by July, though no specific date was given.

When asked about the pressure of making a sequel nearly 30 years later, Sandler replied, «We’ve got a lot of good stuff — we just want to make sure it all comes together and keeps it going from start to finish. We’re nervous but confident.»
