Angelina Jolie blasts «liars» as her divorce from Brad Pitt is finalized, calling out «people who say one thing and mean another»
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt recently concluded their long-running divorce after an eight-year legal battle, and the actress is now speaking her mind clearly.

In a candid interview for *W Magazine’s* Best Performances issue, released shortly after the divorce was finalized, the 49-year-old Oscar winner shared her thoughts on one of her biggest pet peeves: dishonesty.
«So many things bother me, but a liar is at the top of the list,» Jolie confessed.
Without naming names, she continued, «It’s about people who feel the need to hide the truth or fail to express what they truly want or feel. It’s a big issue—people who say one thing but mean another, or aren’t authentic with themselves. Too many people don’t say what they really mean.»

While Jolie didn’t directly reference her ongoing legal battles with Pitt, their years-long court struggle has been highly public.
The finalization of their divorce on December 30, 2024, officially ended a process that began when Jolie first filed in September 2016.
Jolie’s divorce attorney, James Simon, emphasized that she’s focused on «finding peace and healing for their family,» adding, «She’s relieved this chapter is over, though she’s exhausted.» A representative for Pitt declined to comment on the finalization.

A source close to Jolie expressed hope that the end of the divorce would allow Pitt to «move on» and «stop attacking her.» The source claimed, “Brad has used his power to cover up his actions and punish Angelina for leaving. He’s even tried to paint her as the reason for his strained relationship with their children.”
Meanwhile, a source close to Pitt rejected this portrayal, saying Jolie has been involved in «one-sided attacks» over the years, distorting facts and creating damage to those around the family.
Though their divorce is now settled, the exes are still embroiled in a separate legal dispute over their former French winery, Château Miraval. Pitt filed a lawsuit in 2021, accusing Jolie of breaching their agreement by selling her share of the property for $67 million.
