Angelina Jolie’s elegant appearance at the London Film Festival
During a panel discussion about her new movie, Maria, in London on Saturday, Angelina Jolie contributed her own touch of understated luxury.
As she exited the event held at the Ham Yard Hotel, the 49-year-old actress, who has apparently made her relationship with her reputed lover Akala official, was by herself.
The Oscar winner wore a black skirt, high-heeled black boots, and a knee-length black-and-gray checkered cloak.
The Eternals star accessorized with a heavy gold necklace shaped like a rope and wore a transparent cream-toned top below the covering.
She wore her long, highlighted hair straight and parted on the side.
With a neutral pink lip, the movie star’s makeup appeared natural.
When admirers waited for Jolie to pass by, she signed their signatures with a black sharpie.
Jolie’s most recent movie was produced by Netflix, which held a special showing and followed it up with a Q&A session for viewers.
One of the greatest opera singers of all time, Maria Callas, is shown in the biography in her last days in Paris. During September 1977, Callas passed away.
Jolie, who is well-known for her dramatic and action parts, talked on the difficulty of portraying the opera singer at the movie’s London premiere.
She told the Irish Independent, «I had a wonderful director [Pablo Larraín] who believed in me, supported me, and made me feel safe.»
«It’s quite a gift to have lessons and to be at a time in your life where you get to learn a new skill,» the perpetual student said, referring to her newly discovered singing voice.
«To be this extraordinary human being and to be in her shoes, and to love her, I had amazing teachers.»
Jolie further discussed her love for the character she played in an interview with Reuters, stating, «The more I studied her and the more I learned about her, the more about her.»
«I wanted to remind some people about this human being, not just about her and her music.»
The Girl, Interrupted actress claimed to have discovered her unique voice in the process. «I hadn’t publicly and loudly expressed myself in a long time, and I had no idea I could sing.»
Maria will start streaming on Netflix on December 11 and be available in select cinemas on November 27.
